Caroline Davison

is an historian, writer and musician. Her first novel The Pleasure Garden was published in 2006 by Piatkus. Her first children's book The By-Mistake Guide to Norfolk was published in 2012.

Caroline has previously worked as a teacher of English as a Foreign Language, a conservation officer, and a freelance historic environment consultant, advising on historic buildings and landscapes, and interpreting them through exhibitions and guides. She is currently Director of the Norfolk Archaeological Trust.

She also writes and performs music, and has been a singer in various bands since she was seventeen. Her singing highlight was performing backing vocals for Edwin Starr in his version of Primal Scream’s ‘Movin’ on up’ in the credits for the film Blue Juice

Caroline lives in Norfolk with her husband and son.
